Education is a human right, a powerful driver of development, and one of the strongest instruments for reducing poverty and improving health, gender equality, peace, and stability. It delivers large, consistent returns in terms of income, and is the most important factor to ensure equality of opportunities. For individuals, education promotes employment, earnings, health, and poverty reduction. Globally, there is a 10% increase in hourly earnings for every extra year of schooling. For societies, it drives long-term economic growth, spurs innovation, strengthens institutions, and fosters social cohesion. Developing countries have made tremendous progress in getting children into the classroom and more children worldwide are now in school. But learning is not guaranteed, as th e 2018 World Development Report (WDR) stressed.

Agriculture

Agriculture, with its allied sectors, is unquestionably the largest livelihood provider in India, more so in the vast rural areas. It also contributes a significant figure to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Sustainable agriculture, in terms of food security, rural employment, and environmentally sustainable technologies such as soil conservation, sustainable natural resource management and biodiversity protection, are essential for holistic rural development. Indian agriculture and allied activities have witnessed a green revolution, a white revolution, a yellow revolution and a blue revolution. Stitching

Young girls and women get hands-on experience in stitching and sewing. After the training hours, they enthusiastically work to produce the orders received and deliver within committed timelines. With the capital provided for training and the revenue generated by selling finished products, the sewing centre and participants earn enough not only to sustain but also pocket some regular profits on a regular basis. We are happy holding their hands as these women and girls take on multiple challenges, to “stitch” a better future for themselves.

Cultivation Training

We have dedicated a ton of time to learning all about the amazing world of mushrooms and would love to share that information with you! I am particularly passionate about growing mushrooms and teaching others how to do the same. Where humble folks work hard on farms across India. A mushroom is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus. Many people confuse it as a vegetable. But the mushroom is not a vegetable, some species of mushrooms are edible and are grown and eaten worldwide.

Beautician Training

Imagining the worldwide patterns of interest and supported excellence experts have increased. The course will begin with hands-on training about the different treatment options. Till the time course ends, you will be pro at performing the treatment with perfection. With the spreading of beauty and health consciousness in rural area too, many enthusiastic women of various mandals are learning beautician courses to get self-employment in an easy manner, thanking to the free training programs being conducted

Livilihood

Anandh Charitable Trust’s Livelihood mandate works with the women engaged in smallholder agriculture, small businesses or employed as farm or non-farm labor. Implementing a range of innovative initiatives, we help women build secure and resilient livelihoods and climb out of poverty permanently. The key approaches adopted in livelihood sector initiatives include capability enhancement, asset building, collectivization, inclusive value chain development and engagement of men and other influential actors.

Disaster Relief

Anandh Charitable Trust’s Disaster Management initiative works to provide rapid and effective relief measures to the regions impacted by natural calamities. Our strategy encompasses Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Rehabilitation with an approach of ‘Building Back Safer’. We use post-disaster recovery programming to increase the resilience of buildings and communities to future hazards.
